Functions of IICs

• To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bound fashion.

• Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.

• Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.

• Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.

• Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution’s faculty and students.

• Organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini-challenges etc. with the involvement of industries.

Key functionaries at the IIC Institute

President

• Be well informed of all IIIC activities and able to provide oversight.

• Be a person who can develop good relationships internally and externally.

• Be forward-thinking and committed to meeting the overall goals of the committee.

Vice President

• Have a good working knowledge of the committee constitution, rules and duties of office bearers

• Be able to work collaboratively with other committee members

• Be a competent public speaker

Convenor/ Dean

• Chair committee meetings ensuring that they run efficiently and effectively.

• Act as a signatory for the committee in all legal and financial purposes.

• Regularly focus the committee’s attention on matters of governance that relate to its own structure, role, and relationship.

Coordinators

• Serve as a spokesperson when required.

• Communicate regularly and systematically with Dept. coordinators of the IIIC.

• Assist in the development of partnerships with other Cells and organizations that are relevant to the goals of the IIIC
